Quick update: I start Crossfit on Thursday and I am terrified and nervous. I went to buy some warm workout clothes. It’s making me anxious thinking about what I am about to start and how badly I need this change. Wish me luck!
Talk to you all soon. Happy New Year :)
I am not sure how many of you all are still active blogs. I haven’t been active at all really, not since I started this blog about a year ago-ish. Lots of things have changed, including the overall theme of this blog. First things first, the changes in me:
-I am single. In April, I will have been single for an entire year. The longest I’ve ever been single.
-I am set to start Crossfit in January. 100% committed because I’ve paid for it and have set up autopay. I WILL DO IT. I WILL CONTINUE TO DO IT AS LONG AS I POSSIBLY CAN.
-In a few days, this blog will not be anonymous. I will post actual pictures of myself, including my face. Yes, I will be incredibly embarrassed and ashamed of what my body looks like but I will not feel so bad when I start to see results.
-I had a doctor’s appointment this morning about my thyroid. I have low thyroid levels because my immune system attacks my thyroid by making proteins to attack it. It’s some kind of syndrome (can’t remember what it’s called) but I’ve been prescribed to medicine to moderate it.
-I also have extremely low iron levels which pretty much makes me feel tired all of the time. Very low energy levels. Iron supplements don’t do the trick for me anymore so my doctor recommended I see an oncologist. Hope that all goes well.
-I had mentioned to him my struggles with weight gain (thyroid has contributed to the weight gain, although not entirely!) and he recommended me to a nutritionist! So I will be seeing one soon and get some inside info on how/what I should be eating. Most of it is common sense, I’m assuming. I know all about eating clean and have even done vegan research. I will have lots of questions.
-My weight has remained the same, for the most part. No significant change either way. I’m still 5’3”.
Lots of information. I will be keeping up with this blog regularly, this time I mean it! The Crossfit I am going to be a part of is having a free community workout on Christmas Eve so ill be letting you all know how it went!
If you still follow me, thank you and I am sorry for being mia for a while now.
For breakfast, I had:
- Dulce de Leche Cheerios 3/4 cup. 100 cals
- Almond Milk, regular 1/2 cup. 30 cals
- Medium sized orange. 70 cals
- BeBuff Protein & Fiber complex. 100 cals.
Total: 300 cals!
Also, I weighed myself this morning for the first time in a few weeks and right now, I’m at 157.6. Not as bad as I thought. I thought I might’ve gained a little weight but I lost just a bit! Stay on track!! I can do this! I will be thin for the summer!!
Welp. I’ve completely fallen off of the healthy lifestyle wagon. The last time I updated was honestly the last time I completely, 100% stuck to the rules I’d originally given myself. BUT!! I’m back and I will NOT quit this time. I can’t stay this way. I hate that I was so into it then just quit. I like reading quotes along the lines of “Yesterday you said today” because that’s SO ME! I feel like last time, I restricted my diet quite a bit it led to cravings…and so on and so on. So this time I will follow the following guidelines when it comes to my diet:
- No red meat
- No pork (aka bacon)
- Much less bread
- Whole wheat anything that comes in whole wheat/whole grain
- No salt (which I’ve done quite well with the past couple of days)
- Eat breakfast every morning by 9
- Eat a much smaller dinner and slightly larger lunch
- Drink tons of water
- Drink a protein shake once a day
- Make smarter choices when eating out
I will also promise to do the following:
- Update after every single meal
- Take my vitamins
- Track the number of calories on MyFitnessPal and post those photos
- Weigh myself everyday
- Run or do some type of workout at least 4 times a week
- Update every night on my progress
- MOST IMPORTANTLY! I will ask for help/motivation from my Tumblr followers if I ever feel like quitting again.
Please help me if I fall off again. I’m sorry!! I’ll do better, I swear.
Sorry everyone! I’ve been so busy with work and getting my resume cleaned up, I’ve barely had any time for updates :-(
I’ve tried my best to keep up with workouts. It’s so hard to stay motivated! But I’ve been more active the past two weeks than I’ve been in years. My diet has gone stupendously! I’ve been sticking to low-cal and drinking tons and tons of water and green tea. My next weigh-in is on Tuesday! Hopefully I’m down another pound (maybe two!!).
Tomorrow is a busy day! Here’s what I’ve planned:
- Early morning walk/run/workout (whichever the weather allows)
- Shower & get ready
- Drive everywhere to hand in resume (and get another job!)
- Laundry :-/ womp womp womp
- Pack for the weekend
- Go back to school (SO EXCITED!! NOT BEING SARCASTIC AT ALL haha)
I’ve been away from school for too long. Can you say “longest break ever?” Again, I don’t have much access to a computer so I’ll try to update through email or the app. Talk to you all soon! Gonna do a teeny-tiny workout in before bed. G’night :)
Please reblog this if you’re 5’5” or less, I’ll make a list of all of us short girls! :D Every lost pound matters, but if you’re short, each pound makes even bigger difference.
Gonna do some yoga. Then go to sleep. Sorry I haven’t been posting my food journals, but I’ve been eating low-cal for the most part. Lots and lots of water. Getting back on the ball. OH! And I did my weigh-in this morning and I’ve lost one pound! I know it seems so minuscule compared to the bigger picture, but it’s THE pound that’s getting me closer to my ugw. Lot’s of love, guys. I’ll talk to you all tomorrow.
i’m up at 6 am everyday. i have my protein shake with banana and flaxseed oil, and by 6:10, i’m on the elliptical. you know how i motivate myself? not with anything artificial, i set a goal. and i won’t rest until i reach it.
